Package Management Rosetta

Looking for a good reference for different Linux package managers? yum, apt, pacman, portage. This Arch Linux Wiki entry explains the more common tasks in package management and how to do it on the different package managers.

This of course includes the ones used on the main distributions, then of course applies to their respectives derivatives.

A good reference, because for instance I’m used to use different distros at home and work.

Hope this help you.
